Troupe of theatre
In 2008 The State Don Cossack Theatre celebrated its 16 anniversary.
If for a human being 16 years is an early youth, the time of hopes, first love and friendship
which remain in our soles for ever, so for a theater it’s also not the time to make conclusions.
It’s obvious; the audience
likes its theatre. In the hall you can see people of different ages: children, youth, mature people, and honored veterans.
And the matter is not only the interest towards folk cossack traditions perfectly embodied in the work of the troupe:
here you can feel warm and festal atmosphere, here you can come with your family and bring children.
The plays of the theater carry moral idea, based on traditions of Russian Orthodox Culture,
confirming the idea that every person should overcome human vices, starting form ourselves.
This internal exactingness is peculiar to the director as well as to the artists and staff. It let them gain love and
recognition of the audience not only in Volgograd and Volgograd Region.
The State Don Cossack Theatre in Volgograd
Present theatre season is famous for the thing that it was opened in
a reconstructed hall of its native building, which was built in XIX century and is a unique
monument of architecture,
survived in two wars.
Held out the Civil War, its survival in the Stalingrad battle was a miracle. It witnessed hard
bombing and bloody battles. This is one of the most beautiful buildings in our city; it still reminds us about
unconquerable strength and firmness of Russian spirit. Nowadays has become a theater,
